I was born on September the 9th 2001 at 15.37
It was a typical Sunday apart from my Dad was away at a conference and when my Mum started feeling contractions a phone call was made to my Dad telling him to get home.
My due date was September the 11th meaning I was two days early , and thank God I was.
I've always loved birthdays, they are such a special thing. It is an amazing opportunity to celebrate and cherish a person.
I have two older sisters and looking at their 18th birthdays made me extra excited for mine.
So even though this blog is just going to be my memories from the weekend, I want to dedicate this post to all my friends and family who made this weekend so special.
To start with though, I want to encourage you also to remember all the happy memories you make. They will be the things that will get you through the dark times.

On the Friday, I had a mini party with my gal pals. All of you were invited as you have supported me and encouraged me throughout my life. It was honestly such a fun evening and I will always cherish it. I love you all.
And yes, I find it hard to take a serious picture...
The next day , was one of the best days of my life. I had a bbq and was surrounded by my family and friends. A group of my bestfriends performed in my band. I was surrounded by everyone that I love and I hope everyone had an enjoyable time. I thank God for you all.
The food, weather and atmosphere was so happy and I don't think I stopped smiling.
Then on my actual birthday, my parents took me out to The Savoy Hotel in London. It was fancy! I opened the menu and straight away saw a cocktail for £5000 and instantly whispered to my parents "we cannot afford this!"
Well, I was looking at the wrong section obviously and ended up having a much more reasonably priced cocktail in which i loved.
We then came home and my sister and her husband came round and we just had a really happy family time.
In the evening, we went out to a tapas pub in Kingston. I LOVE tapas! It was just full of laughter happiness and fun memories.
So that's that. A weekend full of extraordinary people and happy events. A weekend and a birthday I will never forget.
So thank you everyone who was a part of it x
Here is to adulthood and all the adventures it will bring.
Never forget the good times
lots of love annarubyxx
