Obviously everyone feels it differently and there are different extremes of sadness. It is important to realise everyone gets sad and everyone feels it.
It is really hard to try and pull yourself out of that mood and you cannot make yourself easily feel better.
However there are 2 things I do to try and make myself feel a little more content.
Gratitude- something i am big on. You don't have to do it everyday but here is something you could do.
Get a journal or a notebook. Write down what it is you feel sad about. Then underneath write 5-10 things you are thankful for. There you can see an example of something that is making you sad, but you have a lot more things you are greatful for.
Living it out in your daily life- something else I love is helping other people. I want to use my experiences to help others that are going through similar things. An easy way to do this is to smile at other people. Sometimes one simple smile can change someones day. Listening to other people. People don't always want advice, sometimes it's just good to talk to someone. Trying to spread positive not negative vibes. I understand if you are going through something awful it can be very hard to do this. However if it is just a one off day of feeling sad, instead of posting it all over social media that you have had an awful day, instead post a quote. Something that could make someone else feel better. There you are putting out positivity into the world and are probably helping someone out.
